Min Fireflies Garden
Min Fireflies Garden is located at Min House Camp, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary to connect with nature, this is the place to visit. It is a truly special experience when you get to go kayaking. Yes, it is a real river, and you paddle across the natural home of the fireflies.
As you kayak into their zone, you will be positioned at a distance to watch the fireflies in the trees along the riverbank. Soak up this magnificent sight, because you will not find it anywhere else!
Please note that you may get a little wet while kayaking. So make sure you wear something that dries quickly. A polyester shirt or any sportswear should do the trick, as it has good ventilation and dries you off fast.
One thing you must remember to do is bring your mosquito repellent. We will be heading into the fireflies’ home, which is also home to mosquitoes. So spray on the repellent generously to avoid any mosquito attacks.
The fireflies may be harder to see if the surroundings are too bright. So make sure you turn off your torch and pick a night when the moon is not shining too brightly. A cloudy sky would be lovely. This may not be ideal for people who are afraid of very dark places. But hey, that is the atmosphere that lets the fireflies shine their brightest.
Once everything is set, just sit back, relax, and witness nature’s dance of the fireflies.
Sometimes, the water may be a little low. In that case, you might not need to kayak to see the fireflies. You can walk and simply watch from the edge of the riverbank.
