3-Day Itinerary in Kota Bharu
Travel:
If you’re driving your own vehicle, plan your trip so you arrive in time to check in to your hotel around 2 pm. For the return journey, plan your desired arrival time.
If you want to cut down on travel time to Kelantan, you can use the flight services or the train service, namely the KTM route KL Sentral - Gemas - Wakaf Bharu. But once you arrive, it’s best to find a rental car or simply use a taxi or the Grab app.

TIPS
- Since this suggested trip isn’t packed too tightly with activities nor too empty, it’s well suited to a trip with family or friends.
- Some places in Kota Bharu can be reached on foot, so check the distance to the places you want to visit while taking in the charm of Kelantan’s local people!
- We also recommend that visitors check the operating hours of each place. For example, during public holidays, Kelantan state holidays, or which days a shop is closed.
- Learn a little Kelantanese dialect and it’ll taste even better, do’oh! While eating mee celup!
- If you choose to drive to Kelantan, pick a few R&R areas for the driver to rest, or perhaps take turns driving.
Whatever your choice, it’s better to plan your Kota Bharu holiday so you can explore every corner and every flavour of food in Kota Bharu. The return journey should be planned too, so you can reach your destination at the best time.
